Your visit helps fund vital conservation work

At Natures Wonders, every wildlife tour directly supports hands-on conservation on the Otago Peninsula. By simply joining a tour, visitors help protect and restore vital habitats for native species like penguins, seals, and seabirds.

The Reid family’s mission goes beyond tourism: every tour directly funds efforts to plant native trees, trap predators, and restore natural ecosystems without interference. Routes are carefully chosen to avoid disturbing sensitive areas, and strict no-contact policies ensure ethical, respectful wildlife viewing. From using low-impact vehicles to educating visitors on ecological issues, Natures Wonders offers more than just close encounters—it offers a meaningful way to support and witness real conservation in action. Contributions are always appreciated through our wildlife conservation donations online.

Habitat restoration

The Reid family has cleared invasive species and planted thousands of native trees to bring the landscape back to life, creating thriving environments for wildlife.
Predator Control

Extensive predator-proof fencing and an active pest management program protect native species from feral cats, stoats, and other threats.
Sustainable Tourism

Tours are designed to be low-impact (e.g. use of Argo vehicles) and educational. Guests observe wildlife without feeding or handling, helping foster a deep respect for nature.
